We primarily offer virtual (telehealth)  appointments

Insurance:

  • We are in-network with most national carriers! We are taking Medicaid.
  • It is your responsibility to understand your benefits for working with a Registered Dietitian. 
  • We bill for Medical Nutrition Therapy and Preventive. 
  • Any balance that insurance does not pay will be deemed your responsibility, so please ensure you contact your insurance company prior to scheduling.
  • Kaiser patients: Many plans require a referral. Please contact your insurer to understand what is required.

Electronic Forms:

Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive secure online forms in your email. Please complete these forms at least 24 hours in advance; if you are unable to do so, your appointment may be canceled and rescheduled.

Are you planning to use insurance? Here's what you need to know.

Contact your insurance company before your first visit. It is beneficial to you to understand your benefits because you are responsible if your insurance does not pay.- How many nutrition visits you are permitted per year (or lifetime) with your plan

  1. What are the allowances for preventive visits? How about for visits based on medical necessity?
  2. What are your co-pays/co-insurance, if any?
  3. How much is your deductible, and how much of it have you met?
  4. Do you need a physician’s referral to see a Dietitian? (this is not very common)
  5. What is the reference number for this call? (you’ll want to keep this in a safe place)

Namaste Nutritionist cannot interpret your benefits for you – this is something we urge you to ask your insurance company. Knowledge = power. =)

You will be invited to join the newsletter for clients. You will receive access to motivational emails and numerous member-only resources. Keep an eye out in your spam or promotional folder for these emails, as you must confirm your subscription to them in order to receive.

Important to know before your appointment:

Please note the following:

  • Please complete your forms prior to the appointment in order to get the most out of our session together.
  • Forms requiring signatures *must be completed* prior to your appointment.
  • We reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of $75 for appointments cancelled in less than 48 hours of appointment time, as this is time someone else could have been served. No-shows hurt our small business. We will make exceptions in cases of emergency, as long as this allowance is not mistreated.
