Kailee’s Professional Philosophy

My philosophy is to work together with my clients to develop a plan of care that fits into their lifestyle with a focus on sustainability over time. I enjoy working with clients throughout their journey to wellness while celebrating successes and providing support, encouragement and new ideas. Learning about my client’s health history and nutrition questions with a listening ear allows me to focus on my client’s goals. Continuing to grow and expand my own nutrition knowledge is also an important aspect of my professional philosophy. I am always learning from my clients and enjoy exploring current topics in nutrition and research.

Who does Kailee help?

I enjoy working with clients who are excited to learn about nutrition and looking for new ideas to incorporate into their journey to health. Nutrition often involves trial and error experimentation to find out what works best for each individual. We are all unique beings with different life histories and experiences. I enjoy working with clients that are excited to discover the optimal nutrition changes for their individual health.

These are the areas I currently address with clients:

  1. diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes)
  2. heart health (elevated cholesterol, blood pressure, triglycerides)
  3. Gut health (including IBS and IBD, GERD, Celiac, EOE)
  4. weight management
  5. food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities (including using MRT testing and LEAP!)

What does Kailee love about nutrition science?

Nutrition is such a great field to work in because it is a newer science that is continuing to grow and change. I often think of nutrition as the underdog of the medical field because it tends to be overlooked, however it can be the backbone of so many wellness journeys. It is exciting to always be learning and exploring new information. I love being able to support clients in discovering nutrition as an important aspect to their long term health, whether it is trying a new recipe, a new cooking method or making a small change to their current routine.

Personal notes about Kailee:

In my professional life, I thrive by continuing to learn and grow as a provider, whether it is how to use nutrition to support a medical issue.

I have 2 young kids who keep me active and always on my toes. We love to play outside together and take walks. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I grew up in California and will travel ato nywhere with a beach and some sunshine; beach combing is my favorite stress reliever! I love art history and someday I want to travel to Europe and explore the museums there.
